PAR999’s CEO has previously been involved in the following public-private partnerships and destination development projects throughout the world:
RCMP Training Academy
Location: Chilliwack, BC
A 200-bed hotel, convention center, meeting facilities and restaurant. This training centre hosted International Police Seminars, G8 summit preparation, training programs, and to date continues to support the communities and businesses in Chilliwack. Our task was to convert a retired military base and plan out a list of facilities. This included planning, opening, commissioning, and operating of the academy.
Pacific Inn
Location: South Surrey, BC
A $56m urban resort project to rebuild a Hilton Resort in a five-acre destination resort minutes away from Peace Arch Border Crossing.
Painters Lodge Fishing Resort
Location: Campbell River, BC
Refurbishing and management of the iconic 98 years old resort that has been a fishing home for celebrities from Hollywood and home alike.
Crowne Plaza Shanghai Golf Resort
Location: Shanghai, China
A 400-room luxury project development that turned the small, neglected community outside Shanghai into a year-round member of the regional golf circuit. The resort also boasts its own airstrip and a helipad. Our role was to plan, execute, open, and stabilize the project.
1 Hotel
Location: Sanya, China
Full oversight of planning and pre-opening process development for a $65m LEED-standard project consisting of a sustainable resort.
Okanagan Lake Resort
Location: Kelowna, BC
Management of a 30-acre resort community that accommodates outdoor recreation facilities to meet the changing needs of vacation homeowners. The resort includes 200 vacation homes, 100 hotel rooms, four restaurants, three swimming pools, and mini golf.
Quality Inn & Tandoori Kona Indian Bistro
Location: Hinton, AB
Raj Kumar, President and Director of PAR999, purchased, refurbished, and currently owns the hotel, having become part of the Hinton community in the past several years. Investments were made to upgrade services of the development, having opened a full-service restaurant, which is favoured by residents.
Tandoori Kona Indian Bistro
Location: Richmond, BC
An authentic Indian, bistro owned and operated by Raj Kumar for the past 20 years, serving a very popular menu to the local community, visitors, and businesses. This award winning restaurant has had been an influential business and employer of choice, which has been recognized for its excellent community service outreach.
Additional Projects
In addition, PAR999 has been involved in the opening of multiple hotels and golf resorts in private settings and public-private partnerships, totalling to an over $2 billion portfolio.
Our academic division owns and operates Oscar International College, having three campuses in BC. We are in collaboration discussions with multiple public institutions to establish branch campuses and develop academic programs for the hospitality industry.
Oscar International College has established network for student enrollment centres across the globe and will be providing support in developing student pipeline for the Center of Hospitality Studies and Research.
